PC - Mobile communication

I have a Nokia 6300 mobile phone and a Palm T|X handheld PDA.
I also have a PC running XP Home with USB 2 ports.
I understand that the best way to get them talking to each other is with a
"USB Dongle".
Amazon is awash with "dongles", is any one better than the others, what is
recommended?
Needless to say, I am a novice when it comes to "Bluetooth".
